The Level 7 Senior People Professional Apprenticeship will be available to those in HR, L&D and OD management and leadership roles. Approved for delivery by the Institute for Apprenticeships & Technical Education, Reed Learning is one of the few CIPD centres to offer the 36-month programme.
To achieve success, candidates must demonstrate a wide range of knowledge skills and behaviours and will have the option to complete the CIPD Advanced Diploma in Strategic Learning and Development or the Advanced Diploma in Strategic People Management. The Level 7 Apprenticeship leads to CIPD Chartered Membership, the highest professional accolade in our industry.
A RoATP main provider since January 2018 and an established CIPD centre, Reed Learning already built-up significant expertise in the apprenticeship market and successfully delivers HR and L&D Levels 3 and 5 programmes to cohorts from large organisations including John Lewis & Partners, Domestic & General, Dixons Carphone PLC, the NHS, and Metro Bank.
“Having developed the HR and L&D skills of well over 100 apprentices from many different organisations around the country, we know we have the breadth of industry knowledge and experience to deliver a high-ranking programme at this level,” said Emma Taylor, Apprenticeship Manager at Reed Learning.
“Senior people professionals are found in all industries and organisations. A Level 7 apprenticeship programme offers a unique opportunity for these leaders and managers to both hone their skills on the job while gaining the advanced strategic knowledge they need to excel in senior HR, L&D and OD roles.”
“We are excited to be able to deliver an apprenticeship programme which will not only support the professional development of individuals but will lead to both improved people practices and organisational performance,” she added.
As with all Reed Learning apprenticeships, Level 7 apprentices will be supported by a dedicated expert adviser throughout their programme and will have access to a wide range of workshops, webinars, online resources and study materials to help them achieve success.
Senior people professionals who join the programme may specialise in either HR, L&D or OD and will complete a range of core and optional modules as they progress through their apprenticeship.
During the 36 months, candidates will focus on developing the occupation standard’s Knowledge, Skills and Behaviours (KSBs), achieving their English and Mathematics Level 2 if required, and compiling a portfolio of evidence. All will be required to spend overall 20% of their working time on learning activities to help them improve their skills and knowledge, which can be achieved flexibly at the apprentice’s usual place of work or at an external location. Once all their training is done, candidates will then move on to End Point Assessment and successful completion of the apprenticeship.
Funded through the Government’s apprenticeship levy at a cost of £19,000 per programme – including the Advanced CIPD qualification – apprentices will either join in cohorts from the same organisation or as individuals. All applicants need to come from levy paying organisations and there will be no cost to the apprentice. Selection will include a review of the candidate’s current job description and CV, English and Maths initial assessments and employer and applicant interviews.
