The PRINCE2 7 Foundation course provides an in-depth exploration of the principles, practices, and processes of this globally recognized project management methodology.
Key topics covered:
Principles: The seven principles are a set of guiding values for effective project management. You will learn how these principles shape the PRINCE2 framework, supporting project managers in their work, decision-making, and task prioritization.
Practices: The seven project management practices include developing a business case, organising teams, creating plans, managing risks, ensuring quality, addressing issues and tracking progress. These practices are established at the start of a project and monitored throughout its lifecycle.
Processes: The PRINCE2 methodology defines seven processes for managing a project, including starting and initiating, controlling stages, managing delivery, handling stage boundaries, closing, and directing the overall project. This course also includes a process model walkthrough to reinforce understanding through experiential learning.
In this course, you will learn the essential terminology and concepts needed to manage projects successfully.
Completing this PRINCE2 7 Foundation qualification typically takes 12 hours via eLearning or three days through virtual classroom and face-to-face classroom options.
For all three study options, you will have 12 months to take your exam from the day you purchase the course.
Having a background in project management is beneficial, but no specific PRINCE2 knowledge is necessary for the Foundation level.

The Foundation exam is a 60 minute long closed book exam. There are 60 multiple choice questions, each worth one mark. To pass you'll need to achieve at least 60%, equivalent to a total of 36 marks or more.
