If you are passionate about teaching and helping others learn, you might consider becoming a tutor. Tutors provide academic support to students of various ages and levels, either individually or in small groups. Tutors can work in different settings, such as online, at home, at schools, or at tutoring centres.
Becoming a tutor can be a rewarding and fulfilling career choice, as you will have the opportunity to make a positive difference in the lives of your students and help them achieve their academic potential. You will also enjoy the benefits of working independently, setting your own hours and rates, and choosing the subjects and students you want to work with.

Supply teaching is a flexible and rewarding career option for many educators. Supply teachers can work on a daily or long-term basis, depending on their availability and preferences. Supply teachers can choose when and where they want to work, and enjoy the variety and challenge of teaching in different schools and settings.
However, cover teaching is not necessarily a full-time job. Supply teachers are usually paid by the day or by the hour, and their income may vary depending on the demand and supply of teachers in their area. Some supply teachers may prefer to work part-time, while others may seek to secure a full-time contract or a permanent position. Cover teachers can also take advantage of the opportunities and resources available to them, such as joining a reputable agency, obtaining a tutoring certification, accessing training and development courses, and networking with other teachers and schools.
Working with children with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND) can be a rewarding and fulfilling career choice for educators who want to make a positive difference in the lives of their students. However, working with SEND children also requires some qualifications, skills, and experience, as well as a passion and commitment for inclusive education. There are different ways to get into working with SEND children in education. Some of the common options are:
Becoming a special educational needs (SEN) teaching assistant
Becoming a special educational needs (SEN) teacher
Becoming a tutor for children with SEND
Working with SEND children in education will give you the opportunity to help students overcome barriers and achieve their potential. Reach out to our team who can help start your career journey.
