For over 60 years, Reed has been proud and privileged to provide person-centred direct care and support services to vulnerable adults, children, young people, and families in the community.
We work with public bodies, privately funded individuals and organisations. So, if you are looking to purchase services, or hire private carers for yourself or loved ones, we provide a range of services to suit your needs.
As a registered Care Quality Commission provider, we are committed to delivering the best possible outcomes for individuals who wish to remain at home and safely access services in their local community.
Our services are available 365 days a year, 24 hours a day, seven days a week, and we have community care hubs based in Cambridge, Manchester, Leeds, Liverpool, and London.
With an extensive team of dedicated community care workers, our friendly, local team of registered care managers, consultants, and co-ordinators work in partnership with you to find a solution and meet your aspirations to achieve your individual goals.
We will work in collaboration with you and other parties to ensure that you are matched with staff who can provide the best level of community care and support for vulnerable adults, children, young people, and families.
All our services enable individuals to fulfil their potential and lead a meaningful and independent life with choice and control. We support with and focus on what individuals can do for themselves but also provide the tools for them to grow and develop new skills and abilities.
Our community care professionals can provide services across multiple care needs, including those with learning disabilities and autism, specialist and complex care, mental health support, outreach and respite services, and specialist care services for children and young people.
Learning disabilities & autism services
Our specialist community care professionals are experts in providing care services and support for individuals living with learning disabilities and autism.
Areas we can support with:
Personal care – ensuring health and well-being is maintained.
Practical support - enabling and encouraging independence, maintaining the home environment, attending medical appointments, managing money, and general activities for daily living.
Emotional and social support – this is met through meaningful relationships and activities, accessing the community, leisure, education, and work opportunities.
Specialist & complex care services
We provide specialist and complex care to individuals who have profound health and care needs and give them the tools and support to enable them to remain at home and achieve their potential.

Nursing care and clinical oversight
Oxygen therapy
Specialist medication and percutaneous endoscopic gastrostomy (PEG) feed
Head and spinal injuries
End of life and life-limiting illness

24 hours wrap around provision including waking nights, sitting, and sleep-in services
One-to-one, two-to-one, and three-to-one personal care
Mental health services
Our services enable individuals, who need support with their mental health, to carry out their day-to-day tasks. This can be through a range of support services including supported living, crisis intervention, outreach, and self-care, with a combination of practical, emotional, social care and support, information, and signposting.
We work with the network of community health and social care professionals to provide support to those living with mental health issues, such as:
Depression and anxiety
Bipolar disorder
Memory and sensory impairment
Alcohol and drug misuse
Behaviours that challenge
Eating disorders

Support with difficult feelings and behaviours
Support with reducing isolation and loneliness
Outreach & respite services
Our outreach services for adults and children aims to assist individuals through a person-centred approach, supporting with health and social care matters that enable people to live independently.

Our respite and short break provision enable main caregivers to take a break so that they can attend appointments or maintain their own health and wellbeing.
This can include sitting services, overnight support, and emergencies. We will work with you to establish if support can be provided as an activity or provision at home.
Children & young people services
We offer a range of provisions for children and young people, including personal care services and assistance to support with home life and access to the community.

Choosing a community care provider is an important decision whether you are a publicly funded local authority, NHS Trust, or looking for private care for yourself or your loved one.

We arrange an initial free, no obligation consultation to discuss your needs and to make sure that you receive the right level of care before matching you with the best community care professionals.
We screen all our community care professionals thoroughly, including their experience in care, values, training, and employment history.
We also provide further training, continuous professional development (CPD) and qualifications to ensure that all our professionals are up to date with the latest legislation and able to provide the best level of care.
Our services are available 365 days a year, 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
Our offices are open from 8am to 6pm, Monday to Friday, however you can always get in touch with someone through our out of hours service.
We assure you that we always endeavour to provide the best possible service. But to ensure that you consistently receive the highest quality of care that you need, we hold regular review consultations so you can share your feedback which is extremely valuable and important to our service.
