Lindsey joined Reed via the graduate scheme in September 2010 and has recruited qualified social workers throughout her career. Her role has changed and developed over the years, with continued responsibility for provision of qualified social workers into some of Reed’s major local authority managed service contracts, some of which we have held for up to 10 years. Lindsey has also developed business with some of our third party/neutral vend local authority and charity contracts.
Lindsey previously spent time managing Reed’s Leicester office, covering both qualified and non-qualified social care recruitment, including high volume care staff shift work. This felt like a natural progression after her graduation from Reed’s internal management academy.
And more recently Lindsey has led on resourcing some of our Statement of Work projects including frontline children’s and adult services projects, and assessment-based projects including our deprivation of liberty safeguards project. She has also led on an innovative project to source form-f assessors for unaccompanied asylum-seeking children across the East Midlands. Lindsey became a specialist in another area, recruiting educational psychologists for our Statement of Work business, and recently took the lead on senior interim recruitment, developing business in the executive-search field by sourcing professionals at director level.
To Lindsey, 2022 felt like the culmination of much hard work, when she was awarded the ‘Top biller in talent acquisition’ prize and invited to a companywide event to celebrate the year’s winners. She feels her success is due to a combination of a strong work ethic, attention to detail, credibility, urgency, a passion for the sector, and an ongoing desire to learn more about the world of social work through those she works with.
Throughout these experiences and resulting successes, Lindsey’s favourite part of the job remains surprising or delighting a social worker or employer – whether finding them the perfect role or new hire they didn't believe existed, or the speed of a process, or going above and beyond for them in some way. And this ties in with one of the many reasons she enjoys working for Reed, with its focus on improving lives through work and commitment to creating a high-performance, supportive and inclusive environment.
