Reed has been CarbonNeutral® since 2005. We keep bees, have planted thousands of trees, and support our co-members in reducing their carbon footprints through flexible working, cycle to work schemes, and our environmental policy.
But our responsibility to the environment doesn’t stop there. Our goal is to invest in green jobs, provide training in the environmental sector, and develop new services to help other organisations protect the environment.

In 2005, Reed became the UK’s first CarbonNeutral® recruitment company. By minimising unnecessary travel, making our offices more energy efficient, and using renewable energy suppliers we aim to become a planet positive organisation.
What we do...
Reed is continuously looking for ways to reduce our landfill waste and paper consumption. Eighty six per cent of our offices have recycling facilities, we recycle our old computing equipment, and our Digital Workplace initiative has allowed us to reduce our need to print materials by 20%.
What we do...
At Reed, we want to improve the lives of animals and plants, as well as people. That’s why we planted 70,000 trees in 2022, raised £4.3 million for environmental charities in 2023, and turned the roof of Central London office into a home for 20,000 bees.
What we do...
In 2023, we launched Reed Environment, which aims to get the UK to net zero by training the green workforce in areas such as solar and heat pump installations.
