During this exclusive event at Reed’s head office in Northampton, our speakers will be sharing valuable tools and real-life scenarios to help you enhance your workplace environment. The event will be split into the following two sessions.

Session 1: Building a healthier workplace: mental health and wellbeing

In the first session, we will delve into the topic of building a healthier workplace with a focus on mental health and wellbeing. Mikey Kemp, Workplace Wellbeing Coordinator at West Northamptonshire Council, will introduce the council’s workplace and wellbeing toolkit, a comprehensive resource designed to help you assess and improve your current wellbeing initiatives.

Additionally, Ian MacLeod, EDI&B Consultant at Reed Talent Solutions, and John Sherriff, Managing Director of Goodwill Solutions, will share their insights on mental health and the rise of equality and diversity initiatives in the modern workplace.

Session 2: Building inclusive futures: supporting neurodivergence in the workplace

The second part of the event will focus on building inclusive futures by supporting neurodivergence in the workplace. Tom Cliffe, Founder of Café Track, will share practical changes that employers can make to support neurodivergent individuals – at work and during the interview process.

Our speakers

Mikey Kemp, Workplace Wellbeing Coordinator, West Northamptonshire Council

West Northamptonshire Council has a strong ambition to support businesses, including with their approach to workplace wellbeing, and help their employees to thrive.

The public health team has developed a free toolkit which guides businesses through a step-by-step approach to workplace wellbeing.

Mikey will talk a little bit about the business case for workplace wellbeing, followed by ways to successful implement effective workplace wellbeing using a data and evidence-based approach.

John Sherriff, Managing Director, Goodwill Solutions

John is the Managing Director of Goodwill Solutions, a social enterprise based in Northampton, which provides logistics and warehousing services while also delivering social impact.

They operate a unique model that combines commercial logistics with supporting marginalised groups, including those who have faced long-term unemployment, ex-offenders, individuals with disabilities, and veterans. Goodwill Solutions offers employment, training, and rehabilitation opportunities, helping individuals gain skills and reintegrate into society.

Tom Cliffe, Founder, Cafe Track

Tom formed the company TRACK Limited in 2018, having previously worked in both mainstream and special needs schools for 11 years. He is passionate about helping people to access employment, having worked with many young people who have a wide range of skills to help them find employment opportunities.

Tom continues to help businesses learn more about autism and the ways in which they can bring a new range of skills and talent to their workplace.

Iain MacLeod, EDI&B Consultant, Reed Talent Solutions

With over 20 years of experience in the diversity, equality, and inclusion (DE&I) field, Iain has been a pivotal figure at Reed Talent Solutions for the past 12 years. He specialises in designing and delivering DE&I products and services, including bespoke consultancy, and offers guidance and support across our service offerings.

Iain’s extensive background includes roles in supplier engagement and project management within Reed Talent Solutions, providing him with a comprehensive understanding of client needs and solution delivery. As a member of the LGBTQ+ community, he brings both lived and learned experiences, enriching his approach to addressing the challenges faced by marginalised groups.

A key contributor to Reed’s own inclusion and belonging initiatives, Iain offers invaluable guidance, insight, and mentorship, ensuring diverse voices are heard and uplifted. He has successfully adapted and implemented Reed’s best practices to benefit clients, including delivering inclusive recruitment training to large-scale, complex organisations.
