Our speakers
Kath Wood, Disability Training and Consultancy Specialist, Medigold Health
Kath’s career has been focussed on disability. After graduating in psychology, she spent 15 years working in and managing residential, support living and day centres for people with learning disabilities including those with profound/complex disabilities, autism and challenging behaviour.
Following this, Kath moved into employment services for people with disabilities, where she worked specifically with clients with autism, ADHD, learning disabilities, complex mental health conditions and confidence/communication issues. Kath progressed into Remploy’s Disability Capability Team supporting colleagues to develop their disability awareness through training, coaching and mentoring. This team evolved into the current Disability Training and Consultancy Team and Kath later took on the role of Lead on Products and Services.
Kath has led on several projects relating to neurodiversity, which has involved lengthy and in-depth research into the topic.
