Lancashire County Council, together with Reed's education experts, established the Lancashire Teaching Agency (LTA) in September 2002. We combine our core business of recruiting and deploying supply teachers, teaching assistants, tutors and whole school recruitment needs i.e. bursars, business managers, site supervisors and cleaners, with an innovative approach to professional development and utilisation of the latest web-based technology.
Each partner brings a strong complementary mix of core skills to the agency. Through a commitment to professional support and career development of teachers and teaching assistants, we make a major contribution to the authority's strategy to recruit and retain high quality teachers and support staff in Lancashire schools.
